How lovely to hear yourself talking...

There are people who like to hear their own voice so much that they would never stop talking.

These people choose for themselves the career of the professor (preferably university, middle and high school kids today are too irreverent…), the salesperson (yes, you often find them among the chatterers), the consultant (how nice to see the client hanging on my every word…) or others.

And when they cannot count on an audience?

Then they adopt a behaviour suggested by Oscar Wilde in The Remarkable Rocket:

I like to hear myself talk. it is one of the greatest pleasures.
I often have long conversations with myself,
and I am so clever that sometimes
I do not understand a single word of what I’m saying.”
